This is a extremely rare and lovely vintage Art Deco 1940's India made peacock brass pillow purse or handbag in terrific condition.  A great purse for wedding or formal events.

It's hand forged out of brass with enamel accents, and has a gold tone tuck-away chain handle for carrying.  It can be used as a shoulder bag or a clutch purse.

The clasp works well and has two enameled peacocks as the closure.  It opens to a bright red velvet interior that is in excellent condition. There is no serious damage to the piece, one light indent near the bottom back side of the bag that isn't noticeable. 

This purse measures approximately 6 3/4 inches in length by 4 3/8th inches in height, not including the peacock clasp. The tuck-away chain adds a 15 1/2 inch drop from the top of the bag.

A rare gorgeous and colorful vintage purse that would make a wonderful gift for the collector.  We haven't seen another one like it anywhere.
